Astra Engineering Products have invested in a number of large bed size metal stamping presses and can produce complex shaped parts requiring up to 800 tonnes of capability.
The company can undertake complete “packages” of work using CAD information to prepare tooling and press methods. Production is aligned with lean concepts and deliveries are based on Just-in-Time requirements. Cpk process management is a key metric and verification is on large bridge type CMM facility. Management of all orders is through the Automotive based PPAP process and all business activities are controlled to the TS16949 standard. Capacity also exists for auto feed Nut welding and there are several Mig welding cells. Zero PPM and 100% on-time delivery is the norm.
